The 'Big Brother' format is moving to Canada.
The Big Brother format is FINALLY moving to Canada! Endemol has officially signed a deal with Shaw Media to produce a local version of the show.
Canadian fans make up a large part of the Big Brother fan base and all previous 13 seasons of Big Brother U.S. have aired there as well.
“After more than a decade, Big Brother is still a ratings winner in the major territories across the globe,” David Goldberg, chairman of Endemol North America, said as he looked ahead to the first-ever Canadian edition.
The Canadian version of hit show will be similar to the U.S. version. No casting announcements for Big Brother Canada have been made.
The upcoming season of Big Brother U.S. will begin airing in Canada the same day it premieres in the States, July 12.
